AMY'S FAVOURITE SITES

Net-A-Porter - May I never have to go into a bricks and mortar department store again. Unlikely with the selection, presentation and end-to-end service available at this stellar website.

Ocado - I haven't been into a big supermarket since I started using Ocado about seven years ago. An easy-to-navigate site that stores all my favourites, with hour-specific delivery slots that suit my schedule. I use it for all my basics and shop at my local butchers and fruit & veg shops at weekends. A great mix.

my-wardrobe - Just in case Net-A-Porter doesn't have something I need. Good for mid-range basics.

i-escape and Tablet Hotels  - My husband and I love to travel, but I loathe travel agents, group activities, etc. We like to travel indie and these two sites are great for finding interesting hotels (sometimes with free extras, always with fair reviews).

TripAdvisor - Not 100% reliable, as there is no special filter for snobbish taste in hotels combined with a penchant for street food, but a great tool in the era of iPhones when you're on the go.

Northwoods Adventures - My Dutch sister-in-law's blog about her life since moving to the US, marrying my baby brother and having my niece. Hilarious and sweet. I wish I'd had this option when I moved to the UK twenty years ago.
