What's not to love about Cocorose London's foldable shoes? With the first ever foldable espadrille, we love them more than ever.

With its revolutionary concept of foldable shoes, Cocorose London has been the go-to footwear designer for the modern, multi-tasking woman who parties as hard as she works.

Founder, Janan Leo shares some highlights of the last twelve months...

LAUNCH OF THE FIRST EVER FOLDABLE ESPADRILLE

We're known for our love of unconventional design; pushing boundaries and creating shoes that are truly unique. As the brand that launched the concept of foldable ballerinas a decade ago, 2016 saw Cocorose London launch an industry-first collection of foldable espadrilles. Sassy and chic, our espadrilles instantly became cult faves with our Cocorosers, celebs and international fashion bloggers rocking them from city breaks through to laid back beach holidays.

THE GREAT BRITISH ENTREPRENEUR AWARDS

Our Founder and Creative Director, Janan Leo, was a finalist in the Retail Entrepreneur category of the 2016 Great British Entrepreneur Awards.

MAKING CONNECTIONS WITH ENTERPRISE NATION AND O2 BUSINESS

A wonderful collaboration between three entrepreneurial brands, Enterprise Nation, O2 and Cocorose London. Let Janan take you on a journey as she tells her story of how she started the business.

THE GREAT HIGH HEEL DEBATE

2016 sparked the polemic dispute surrounding discriminatory workplace dress codes that resounded globally: from receptionist Nicola Thorp being sent home for not wearing high heels at accountancy firm PwC and MP Gill Furniss’ daughter fracturing her foot after she was forced to wear high heels at work, to Japan High Heel Association’s call for women to swap flat shoes for stilettos in order to boost their confidence. Unsurprisingly, campaigns to overhaul a sexist dress code in the workplace have since ensued.

The great high heel debate has reassured Janan that her passion and mission over the past ten years, to create stylish and comfortable footwear for women, is absolutely essential to help make our modern, 21st century lifestyles easier and to give women the freedom of choice to change from her heels to her flats and vice versa when, and if, she wants.
