Myconservatives.com calls itself a "new online network" giving Tory supporters the chance to set up their own campaigns.

HOW IT WORKS

The site helps you fundraise and support Conservative candidates. To begin with, sign up for a profile. You get your own social-media-style personal page and join the political crusades you're interested in. Once you're involved in a campaign you can donate money to the cause, make canvassing calls or arrange door-to-door visits in your local area.  

WE WANT TO BE TOGETHER

When you log on to the site you're hit with the following slogan: Let's win the general election together. This hand-holding strap line makes candidates of us all, creating the illusion that politics will no longer involve inner cadres of venal souls interested in the
progression of their own careers. It involves everyone one of us. So when it all goes wrong we know who to blame.

This pinching of the egalitarian ethos that defined pre-Blair Labour shows Cameron's determination to shake off the 'nasty party' tag that described the Tories under Thatcher and Major. All hail the new anti-authoritarians. Dave's here and there's a seat at his table for one and all.
