Needless to say, the CNN website has it all. The homepage lists the latest news and when it was updated. Hot topics are recorded along the top of the homepage linking to relevant literature and videos.

Each article is presented in text and video format along with an interactive feature, typically giving a timeline of events. Digital features include live video, podcasts (which require subscription), email alerts and news feeds. You can choose from a range of news feeds to get the information most relevant to you.

The recently introduced i-Report function allows you to send in your own stories, pictures and ideas. While there are lots of interesting stories here, this part of the site really comes into its own in the event of breaking news when people on sight can send in pictures even before reporters arrive at the scene.

The site is well designed, easy to navigate and full of useful features.
