King's College London Liddell Hart Centre for Military Archives

Based around the library collections of Captain Sir Basil Liddell Hart, the Centre now holds the archives of around 500 distinguished 20th-century British defence personnel.

List of Collections, a little further down the page, is more informative. Private Paper Collections starts with a long list of the papers pertaining to each individual, listed alphabetically by name. The contents of some, but not all, of these can be consulted in more detail by clicking on the words 'detailed catalogue' in blue alongside the relevant entries. Following this is a list of other documents, catalogued by title, of which basic details are available online.


What do I have to do to Consult Original Material? explains the necessarily slightly restricted access that is available, and which requires a letter of recommendation from a suitable referee. No actual records can be consulted online, so a visit in person is necessary.
