Irish Family Research has an impressive array of databases to search for anyone wishing to trace their Irish origins.



The materials available on the site are said to be rare and exclusive.
Some are free to air, but for others there is a modest subscription.



IFR offer 70 searchable databases. all listed by county. You can view what is on offer from the link on the home page. Some of these databases date back to the seventeenth century and many of them offer a wealth of material. It is worth having a good look at this list before deciding to join. There are also very helpful hints on how to trace your genealogy and on specialist books.



The free membership offers acess to museums and libraries, books, postcards and to a page where you can post the details of your own research. A standard membership is £10.50 which offers access to all the searchable databases. Premium costs more and offers access to the Castlederg and Newspaper BDM service.
