This is the website of Michael McEvoy, specialist in providing British directories in microfiche form. (Incidentally, if the name Ray Sarfas in blue in the bottom left corner of the homepage looks familiar, see Ray's own web site, RS Designs).


SPECIAL FEATURES


This clearly laid-out site provides lists of County Indexes (Pigot's, Kelly's and other directories), Military Indexes and a few Overseas Lists, all available in microfiche form.


Miscellaneous is a section well worth studying too. A microfiche viewer with 40x magnification is necessary in order to read these but might well be a worthwhile investment if you want to do serious research from home. Many of the directories listed are rare and probably only found in specialist libraries, while on microfiche they mostly cost only a few pounds.



To order, you need to study the lists under the above headings and make notes of the titles that interest you before moving to the Order Form. You then list the titles and order online, paying by credit card.
