Size of Wales
Looking for a way to mark St. David's Day this year? Why not join the Size of Wales campaign and help to protect 2 million hectares of rainforest.
WHY THE NAME?
The campaign is called The Size of Wales, because areas of deforestation are often talked about as being ‘the size of Wales'. To put a positive spin on the phrase, this environmental charity hopes to conserve an area of tropical rainforest the Size of Wales instead, and they would love your help, if possible.
A GLOBAL CONCERN
By connecting schools, organisations and individuals to rainforest projects and communities, the idea is to engage the Welsh nation with the global issues of climate change and sustainable management of our planet's resources. There are currently forest conservation and tree planting projects up and running in the Congo, Guyana, Uganda, Madagascar and many more besides, all of which need funding. Find out how you or your organisation can get involved by visiting the Size of Wales site today.
