Cumbria Community Foundation

The Cumbria Community Foundation as set up in 1999 to support disadvantaged people in the county. It makes grants to local charities, promotes donations and manages funds.

THE FOUNDATION

The Cumbria Community Foundation is part of the community foundation movement that began in the US in the early part of the 20th century. It supports over 3000 charities. If you're from Cumbria, currently living there or are among the millions who enjoy visiting the county's beautiful scenery, the Foundation offers you an excellent way of supporting the area. The Foundation has just set up the Cumbria Flood Recovery Fund to raise money for those affected by the terrible flooding in Workington and Cockermouth on November 19th 2009.
