Tom Allum of Style Piques

Tom Allum is the co-founder of stylepiques.com a website that lets users share and connect with fashion. The site is also a great place to hunt down the hottest looks of the season (at affordable prices) as well as following trends and getting rewarded for sharing your style.

TOM'S FAVOURITE APPS

SpotifyThe only downside is the number of arguments it causes in the office over playlists - too much choice and too many DJs! I also think it will be a much better service when they get the Bob Dylan's back catalogue on there. Although that will only lead to more arguments as not everyone shares my love of the great man...

Notational velocityThis is a brilliant app that is essentially a note taking tool. It organises all your notes in one place and makes them easy to search and find. My web developers put me onto this one and since then I no longer have five or six To Do Lists in various formats sitting on my desktop. It syncs with your phone which is very helpful and you can also share your notes with other users.

WhatsappIM on crack. It's free and a great way to stay in touch with friends. It has now replaced Blackberry messenger for me. I just need more of my friends to join.

FashionlistaThis is a brilliant idea that has been developed out of Amsterdam. You download an app that lets you share your favourite fashion items from across the web. It's perfect for fantasy window shopping at net-a-porter or letting your friends know about the latest splurge you've just been on at Nasty Gal. Anyone can follow you and a lot like Twitter it shows you what's trending. It's a great way to see the online fashion world in real time and get inspiration.

Cloud AppCloudApp allows you to share images, links, music, videos and files really easily. You just choose a file and drag it into the cloud app menu bar. This somehow turns said file into a simple short link that you can use to share your content with. It's not so great for big files but Dropbox takes care of that. I use it all the time when I'm on Skype and need to share something with the person I'm talking to.
