Rory O'Grady is the creative director of Comufy, a social media suite empowering communication with hundreds of millions of people around the world. He is also co-founder and product director of A Beautiful Planet www.abeautifulplanet.org, a non profit organisation and web system that will empower each of its users to make the planet a better place.
RORY'S FAVOURITE APPS
Instagram (iPhone App) - Instagram is in my view the best photo sharing app out there. Simply take a picture, edit it using a whole load of very cool filters (these alone are worth using the app) and simply share them on any major social network. Because of the GPS coordinates attached to each picture (if you allow it) you can create very cool map based visualisations of a trip, or your spacial relationship to a defined location such as your city, village or town.
Spotify (Facebook App) - As some of you may know, Facebook has just released a new generation of apps called "Time-Line" apps. Spotify, has in my view been one of the best at using the new functionalities it offers. For example, you can see what your friends are playing in real-time and either listen in, comment or add to your own playlist with a simple click - Social Music at its best.
Skyscanner (iPhone & Android) - I love to travel more than I maybe should. As my own boss I can decide to go off at random times of the year (clients permitting!). This great app lets you find the lowest flight fares and cheapest dates to fly - in a simple and easy way.
NatureSpace (iPhone App) - This is my zen moment App for the morning commute. Simply press play, close your eyes and let the sounds of nature take you away. What I find particularly smart, is the way they have mixed each track in a "three dimensional way," to give you the most realistic experience possible. Ommmmm.
