Best fashion designer official sites
London Fashion Week is well underway with bloggers, fashion editors, designers and models raising the style-stakes across the capital, but which designers have the best websites? We trawled the net to find the most original and striking offerings from the world's most web-savvy fashion designers. Here are some of our favourites.
ANNA SUI
www.annasui.com

American fashion designer, Anna Sui's website takes a fairy tale theme with illustrated scrolls and butterflies and fabulous interactive illustrations, which let visitors explore the site in a creative and intuitive way. Full of personality, style and colour, fans can shop here for her fragrances, fashion and cosmetics and engage with the designer's many projects, opportunities and events.
BETSEY JOHNSON
www.betseyjohnson.com

A part of the 1960s Warhol scene - Edie Sedgwick was her house model, while the Velvet Underground's John Cale was a regular wearer of her designs - Betsey Johnson has made her career out of producing fun, edgy and rock n' roll designs and her website, complete with acid pink background and punk-rock style photography, is a good reflection of this.
DIANE VON FURSTENBERG
uk.dvf.com

Classic and stylish with a twist - just like the designer's dresses - the Diane von Furstenberg site is a pleasure to browse with links to and great photography of her dresses, shoes, bags, clothing, accessories and gifts plus information and videos relating to her new collections, runway shows and more.
HELMUT LANG
www.helmutlang.com

Known for his minimalist, deconstructed designs, this famous designer's site is made up of thumbnail images of his entire collection, organised by colour for a clean, aesthetically streamlined look. Meanwhile, visitors can browse the Fashion Night's Out Photobooth for edgy shots taken at his catwalk shows and fashion events or check out his online journal, where blog-style snippets and insights from behind the scenes can be found.
JAMES COVIELLO
www.jamescoviello.com

This intriguing, interactive site, which is still in development, conveys an old-fashioned, 19th century style, complete with faded patterned wallpaper, vintage lettering and symbols of top hats, wrought iron keys, typewriters, women's corsets and record players. Its highly original and great fun to browse - we're looking forward to the About section being completed.
STELLA MCCARTNEY
www.stellamccartney.co.uk

One of Britain's finest designers, Stella McCartney's combination of sharp tailoring and feminine design is second to none. Her site is clean, clear and easy to navigate with an excellent online shop and clear information relating to her collections, her charity, her green credentials and other news. Don't miss the Stella McCartney sister site for kids.
KARL LAGERFELD
www.karllagerfeld.com

With his outsized, crisp, white shirt collars, black sunglasse, black suits, black ties and white hair, scraped back into a ponytail, Karl Lagerfeld is undeniably cool. But the Karl Lagerfeld 3D doll, which you can flip around using your mouse on his official site is even cooler. If you don't get too distracted doing this, the rest of the site is worth checking out too.
