Mothers4Children

Mothers4Children
is a philanthropic co-operative, a charity of charities, focusing on vulnerable young children and their families in the UK, Eastern Europe and developing countries. Lisa B's new foundation to support children's charities in the UK and abroad is backed by women who are funders and shapers and include Trinny Woodall, Yasmin Le Bon, Anya Hindmarch, Natalie Massanet, Jemima Khan and other premier league mums.

THE LAUNCH

The initiative was launched on 20th March 2009 at a lunch held at the Mayfair Hotel, London, with the help and support of some of London's most powerful and successful women. Guests included Louise Redknapp, Yasmin Le Bon and Kids Company founder Camila Batmanghelidjh.

OBJECTIVES

Mothers4Children will harness the compassion of women to create a powerful and enduring platform for change. It is more than just a charity; it is a sisterhood of women, whose combined mission is to better the lives of all children. Collectively they aim to utilise their resources to seek and create new ways of raising sustainable funds for children in need, and then direct these funds to charities on the ground being most effective in the all encompassing areas within child welfare.

The charities objectives are:-
- To encourage mothers to join together as a force to highlight the plights of less fortunate children and take action
- To identify and support existing charitable organisations that have developed successful programmes and services that benefit children in need.
- To increase opportunity and equity for those most in need.
- To help transform lives.

The lunch in London will become an annual event taking place during the week before Mother's Day each year. Also, next year, Mothers4Children hope that women across the UK will host their own lunches helping it to become a powerful nationwide event.
