The British Association of Women Entrepreneurs
BAWE, a non-profit making professional organisation to promote the interests of UK-based women business owners, is nearly 50 years old. It is affiliated to the world association, Les Femmes Chefs d'Entreprises Mondiales, a member of The Confederation of British Industry, and works closely with the Department of Trade and Industry, the Institute of Directors, and the Chambers of Commerce. It works as a networking set up, with the opportunity for members to market and advertise on the site, join the BAWE WebRing, as well as organising trade missions and conferences around the world. The site is not registration only, and archived back issues of the Newsletter can be viewed online, but women need to register to join the organisation.
COMMENTS
Not very dynamic as a web presence, but with barrels of experience behind it and strong international links, it's worth a look.
