StartUp Britain

StartUp Britain is a campaign and web platform for entrepreneurs starting out, growing their business, or for anyone even considering dappling with some entrepreneurship. It presents enterprise support that is available on the web in a clear and concise way. With support from the Government, entrepreneurs such as Richard Branson and founding sponsors such as Microsoft and Barclay's, StartUp Britain is a great first stop for finding help to get your business off the ground.

EASY NAVIGATION

The StartUp Britain site is very easy and quick to navigate, with all links clearly presented in categories on the homepage, in two tidy columns; for starting and for growing a business. The number of links is somewhat limited, considering how many websites are available out there to help businesses but this certainly has its advantages as it does make the site concise and the links are carefully chosen for their quality and usefulness. The site provides links to websites that can help with ideas and inspiration, writing a business plan, choosing a name, finding office space, getting funding, setting up a website, marketing and much more.

GREAT OFFERS FROM TOP COMPANIES

There is additional support available on the website, including business advice and discount offers from leading companies to give your business a helping hand in this tough economic climate. Microsoft are pledging to train 5,000 startups in how to use technology to drive their businesses forward and Glasses Direct are offering 25 mentoring sessions with the founder, just to name a couple.

STARTUP LOCAL - THE BUS TOUR

In addition to the website, StartUp Britain is looking to other channels for inspiring and accelerating entrepreneurship all round the UK. Last summer, a bus toured round the UK, giving local people the chance to meet entrepreneurs, mentors and experts in the field.
