Enterprise Nation
Enterprise Nation has been developed for the millions of people who now work from home, whether for themselves or as an employee. The site provides information and inspiration through its homeworking news, views and feature profiles. Interestingly, the BBC see working from home as the answer to going green.
The company is the brainchild of Emma Jones who felt that the market was largely unserved and that home workers had very few places to turn to for advice. Emma Jones runs the consultancy firm, Redbrick Enterprises, that advises Regional Development Agencies and public bodies on how they can increase levels of home enterprise in their own area. The Enterprise Nation website is the natural follow on to this, helping the UK's homeworking community.
Listen to the features and interviews found in Podcasts, which can be downloaded onto both your computer and MP3 player.
Visit the site and subscribe to the magazine to find advice on how to exercise the right to request home working, claim home working tax advantages, build your home business and all whilst being kind to the environment. Content is split into categories covering Business, Current Affairs, Technology, Lifestyle and Employers, as well as an Opportunities channel that offers introductions to jobs that allow homeworking and ideas for a new-start home business.
Leave your feedback on each article read and take part in the online polls and subscribe to the free monthly e-news, which makes for interesting reading.
Enterprise Nation held its first Homeworking Exhibition in Manchester in March 2007, providing an opportunity for Enterprise Nation readers from across the UK to meet offline to share experiences and stories.
Enterprise Nation certainly deserves your attention.
