Designed for day-traders and sophisticated investors, myBroker hosts trading in the widest range of instruments; UK (LSE, AIM, OFEX and Irish) shares; NYSE, AMEX, Nasdaq and Canadian shares; European shares by telephone; ETFs; futures, options, energy derivatives and CFDs with spread betting pending; forex, gold & silver. The trading platform is software rather than browser driven, which means that you have to install dedicated software from a CD or by downloading from the website.

Dealing is at best (via live streaming price quotes) or at limit (good for the day). Commission for UK stocks is £12.95 for considerations up to £2k and at £25 thereafter. US stocks are dealt at $15 per trade. There is an inactivity fee of $19.98 (or sterling equivalent) per month.

ISA, PEP and SIPP tax shelters are available. The SIPP carries a flat annual charge of £540 + VAT.

The centrepiece of the navigation system is a large customisable spreadsheet which carries your watchlist of securities with live mid-prices and other data (% price changes, bid/ask prices etc.). Tools and research include fundamentals, graphical summaries, charting and technical analysis. The subscription Enigma system (£14.95 to £49.95 p.m.) delivers buy/sell signals at the end of each trading day.
