Trade Crest-settled UK (LSE, AIM) and US (NYSE, Nasdaq) stocks; CFDs, spread bets and unit trusts/oeics online, dealt at the same rates online or by telephone.
UK shares are dealt at real-time snapshot quotes (£10) or by contingent orders through TradePlan (limit orders, stop losses and price locking (i.e. rising buy) limit-stop combinations and range trading (two limit orders), good for 30, 60 or 90 days. A TradePlan order costs £2, which is refunded if the order executes.
US shares are dealt at best (on the basis of indicative quotes) or at limit (good for the day) at £15 per trade. US deals cannot be placed through TradePlan.
The self-select ISA and PEP facilities currently only accept unit trusts/oeics and there is no SIPP facility. However, these shortcomings should be corrected by October 2006, with the introduction of a self-select ISA (shares and funds) and a low-cost SIPP.
