ONLINE BANKING SERVICES
It is simple to register online and once you are logged on, you can view up to six years of past statements. As standard, you can make payments to individuals, pay bills, transfer money between accounts and manage direct debits and standing orders. To aid financial planning and organisation, you can download your transactions to Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Money or Intuit Quicken. Apply for personal loans, credit cards and savings accounts and order foreign currency for your travels without having to visit your local branch or pick up a phone
KEEP TRACK OF YOUR MORTGAGE
Additionally, there is an Offset Mortgage facility where you can view your Mortgage balances and repayments as well as the date it was opened, the original amount borrowed, the amount of interest already paid and the amount standing. You can even make changes to your standing order payment.
INTERNET BANKING PLUS
The online services are further enhanced by the option to use Internet Banking Plus - an aggregation service that allows you to manage all your online accounts with one simple log-on. Track all your online banks, credit card providers, investment services, email accounts, telecoms and utilities all in one place.

First Direct was the first bank to offer phone banking in the UK and now you can download the First Direct app; view balances and your last 20 transactions, make transfers between First Direct accounts and make payments to existing payees. There are only a few of the services that are on offer online, but nevertheless the app is good for keeping updated when you're on the move.
