MoneyNet is a well-respected financial comparator website, enabling users to compare financial products (life assurance, general insurance, credit cards, loans & mortgages, banking & savings and gas & electricity) and to buy them online.

The general insurance division offers the following insurances:

• Motor: Car, high-performance/classic/specialist car, commercial vehicle (van/minibus/lorry) via Insurancewide
• Home: Buildings and contents via Insurancewide
• Travel via Xelector
• Health: Private medical via HealthNet Services Ltd.
• Income Protection: MPPI, Sickness & Accident via British Insurance Ltd
• Landlord via Decision Finance

The Private Medical Insurance section is a particularly strong area, and would be a first choice alongside Moneysupermarket. However, the categories covered on motor and home insurance are narrower than on Insurancewide (whence they derive), and the search Wizard process is more laborious than on Moneysupermarket and The Idol.
