EE launches the official Glastonbury 2017 app with Apple Music integration.

Packed your tent, ready to go? One last job; download the free official Glastonbury Festival app with Apple Music integration.

For the 18th year running, EE is the official technology and communications partner to the Glastonbury festival. It will offer free festival WiFi, phone charging and their own Glastonbury app. They will install a permanent mast on the Glastonbury site allowing festival-goers to stay connected with broadband speeds no matter which network they’re on. Research from EE revealed that 50% of festival-goers lost a friend for an average of three hours and 44 minutes. Sixty per cent missed their favourite bands at a music festival. What’s worse, about 16% of visitors lost their friends for the entire duration of the festival.

What does this year's official Glastonbury app do? You can...

- Preview this year’s line-up
- View an interactive map
- Share locations
- Add customisable pins for meeting points
- View the latest news
- Stay connected with friends
- Create a personalised line-up
- Get live stream BBC coverage of the festival

EE director of communications and sponsorship Mat Sears said: "Our 4G network on site means our customers can stay connected for the entire festival and the app continues to be an essential digital guide for those both there and also for Glastonbury fans who couldn’t make it down. It was accessed four million times during the festival last year so we know that those on site rely on it to ensure they get the most out the UK’s biggest and best-loved festival."
