Bupa is one of the UK's major private health insurance providers and has designed this site as an information resource to the general public as well as a facility for its members. You can search the site by keyword by typing in the box at the top right of the home page, or by clicking on one of the various links in the navigational panels. As well as being a comprehensive guide to Bupa's services, rates and hospitals, it is also comprhensive in its medical advice.

Health Factsheets. Click here and you will be offered a choice of search facilities: you can select by area of interest, or, if you know exactly what you're looking for, from an alphabetical list. A reasonable range of conditions is detailed here; from the general eg. 'phobias' to the more specific eg. 'Laminectomy'. The fact sheets included general definitions and characteristics of a problem, characteristics of people at risk, typical symptoms (physical and psychological), diagrams, medical treatment, complementary therapies and outcomes of treatment.
