Children First for Health

Children First for Health is an award-winning health and hospital information website for teenagers, children and parents. This brilliant resource, provided by Great Ormond Street Hospital, contains a wealth of information and guidance for young people and their parents who are worried about health issues or hospital visits. In 2006 it was voted the UK's No. 1 health website for children by The Times and the site gets over 1 million visits a year.

KIDS AND JUNIORS

The engaging, child-friendly content features a section for juniors (aged 4 to 6) with colourful cartoon characters of hospital staff, fun games and tests and a key to how the body works. For the 7-11 age group there's factsheets, a health dictionary and creative corner where children can read and share stories.

TEENAGERS

The section for 12-18 year olds is packed with features, advice, video diaries and information on issues such as weight, puberty, sexual health, depression and hospital life. Readers can also post their questions anonymously to their ‘Dear Doc' or ‘Agony Column' experts.

FAMILIES

The families section is aimed at adults and parents seeking authoritative and reliable information. Great Ormond Street experts provide news, in-depth features, A-Z child health factsheets, real stories and first aid tips. Experts also offer online advice.
