Winter FitFlops

As the cold weather dawns, replace the summer FitFlops with a winter version that will keep help to keep you toned all year round. The winter FitFlop is available in three boot styles, the Mukluk, Inuk and Snugger, as well as the Gogh clog, all of which keep your feet warm but best of all, keep you toned as you walk. This is footwear with a built-in gym.

Marcia Kilgore, the founder of FitFlop, has done it again with FitFlop boots. They use the same Microwobbleboard technology which allows your body to wobble very slightly. This encourages other areas of your body to compensate and thus you get a work out while you walk. Wearing FitFlops also helps with poor posture and can relieve ankle, heel and plantar foot pain.

TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE?

Well yes, especially as the Winter FitFlops look pretty stylish too. For those of us who have spent the summer making the most of Microwobbleboard TM technology and were reluctant to give up on it, help is at hand. We say move over Ugg boots, their time has come. The tall Inuk boot  (£199) and mid calf Mukluk (£125) in suede are available in good winter colours, chestnut, chocolate and black. The light snowboot style Snugger (£85) is an urban, hip-hop version and is available in bronze, silver or black.

The Mukluk and Inuk boots are made with double faced breathable Shearling and are water and stain resistant with Agion anti-bacterial technology. The sci-fi Snugger has a nylon/patent upper with faux fur lining inside and is also treat with Agion. All styles have a textured anti-slip rubber sole.

The Gogh clog is available in chocolate (£60).

WHY WINTER FITFLOPS?

FitFlop footwear helps:-
Improve posture, recalibrating your balance and pitching your body correctly.
Reduce shock, realigning ground reaction force through the centre of your pelvic girdle.
Firm and tone, activating the lower leg, hamstring and gluteal muscle.
Increase stimulation, activating the calf muscles and small muscle groups around the ankle and foot.
Reduce foot pain by creating a floating effect, diffusing pressure hot spots over a great surface.

FITFLOP HISTORY

Originally designed on a flip flop format by bio-mechanist, Dr David Cook and Marcia Kilgore, Bliss Spa founder, FitFlop sandals allowed women to make the miles they walked go further by letting them workout whilst walking. First launched in May 2007, FitFlops were a runaway success and they still are. Each season brings new styles and ever longer waiting lists.
