Homoeopathic Remedies for Winter Ailments
It's official; the sneezing season is upon us. This year, give homoeopathic remedies a try, using this remedy guide from Weleda (UK) Ltd. Find your major symptom by reading down the left-hand column, read along the row until
you find the best match to the way you feel, then find the best remedy for the job at the top of the column.
Dosage: Adults - 2 tablets Children - 1 tablet
For acute cases, 1 dose every 2 hours for up to 6 doses. Less acute cases, 1 dose 3 times a day between meals until symptoms improve.
When you notice and improvement, increase the time interval between doses. Continue taking the medicine while the symptoms improve, until they either settle at a steady level or disappear altogether, at which point stop taking the medicine. Repeat only if the original symptoms recur.
You should experience some improvement within a week at the most, even though the symptoms may not be completely gone. If there is no improvement after two weeks then another medicine offering a better match to your symptoms and personality should be selected.
Homoeopathic medicines work with the body to help it overcome the illness rather than suppressing the symptoms. In rare cases, a slight aggravations of the symptoms is experienced at first. This may indicate the medicine is working. Stop taking the medicine if this happens and wait until your symptoms settle back to their original level before starting dosing again.
If symptoms do not go away, talk to your doctor, homoeopathic practitioner or call Weleda on (0115) 9448222 for further advice.
Weleda homoeopathic tablets contain Lactose. Other formulations for vegans are available from the Weleda dispensary.
Warning Consult a registered medical practitioner before taking any homoeopathic product. If you are already receiving treatment, tell your doctor that you are also taking this product.
