Ten Sites for Active Boys

Some say it’s tricky to buy cool clothes for little boys, and that the girls get all the fun. They obviously haven’t read this roundup of our favourite shopping sites for active boys who like to run, climb trees and get muddy.

Of course, there are plenty of wonderful boys clothing shops on the high street. There’s GAP, H&M, Joules, Zara to name but a few, but here we bring you our top ten boys clothes shops online; some small family startups, others established treasure troves of designer clothes.

FIVE BOYS CLOTHING

FIVE BOYS CLOTHING is on a mission ‘to smash the illusion that shopping for boys is difficult,' say co-founders Taffeta and Sophia. This inspired site sells gifts and clothes from different brands for boys aged 3-15. 'We source clothing that both boys and mums will love.’ They have six children between them and have operated the online shop since 2014. You can shop by age, by clothing or by brand making life far too easy for the shoppers. They have just launched their own series of endangered animal organic t-shirts. One pound of every t-shirt sold goes to Arkive, the world’s largest online encyclopaedia about the natural world that helps support conservation organisations across the globe. We like the cheetah and poison dart frog.

Founders Lettice Hagan and Federica Medina, who have six boys between them, set up shop in 2014. This summer, Catapult Clothing are making the move towards sustainability and fairtrade and have started a collaboration with a company which is 100% organic. ’We have wanted to do this since the start without affecting the cost of the t-shirt,’ says Lettice. Bring it on.
