The company was founded by Stephen Marks,who previously worked for Louis Feraud in Paris (and was also married to Nicole Farhi at the time). The company began from a humble pair of hotpants and grew into menswear in 1976 and childrenswear in 1986. The FCUK logo that caused so much controversy has now been phased out and French Connection has grown to 77 stores across the U.K.
