Crew Clothing Co
Crew Clothing Co is a very British brand, offering a range of well designed casual clothes for men, women and children, where quality is key.
BODEN'S SPORTIER COUSIN
Maggie O'Sullivan of The Telegraph described them as 'Boden's sportier cousin' and she's right. The online catalogue is full of sunlit snapshots by the sea with good looking people sporting Crew clothes. The style is relaxed and exudes Crew confidence. Designs are unfussy and the separates work well with existing pieces in your wardrobe. The effect is cool and casual, using natural and lightweight cottons and linens.
BACKGROUND
The company was founded by Alastair Parker-Swift in 1993 in Salcombe with the first shop opening in Cowes, Isle of Wight, in the same year. There are now nearly 50 stores in the UK with concessions in a few department stores and of course, this attractive site selling the whole range. If you want to find out more, read up on the history and company ethos in Crew Life. The company sponsors the English Polo team.
NAUTICAL TOUCHES
Staying true to its coastal roots, part of the collection has nautical touches with classic stripes and cottons with a few pieces for the hardened sailor, including jackets and gilets. Polo and rugby shirts feature across the range along with sweatshirts and hoodies. There are pretty skirts, pedal pushers and embroidered linen tees for women, along with some great knitwear. Swimwear gets a look in too and the boardies here are well worth checking out.
USEFUL ASIDES
Useful asides include a helpful selection of ideas shown alongside a product. You can zoom in to see different colourways and additional information. With belts, good-looking beaded wedges and leather strap sandals and deck shoes for men, you might have to restrain your credit card.
AND THERE'S MORE
The Crew Clothing Co luggage is also worth a detour, strong canvas totes and a range for sailing, GBR93 which is made out of a tough weatherproof material. Crew Clothing for boys and girls, aged two to twelve, was introduced in 2007 with comfortable and colourful basics to see them through sunny weekends and holidays.

COMMENTS

I placed a small order to them (128 GBP) for delivery in France. They use Royal Mail International Services as carrier.
I had been told by Crew Clothing Co customers services, upon enquiry about the whereabouts of the order, that I shall allow 28 days before delivery (already a week has lapsed)... This is not mentioned on their website for international orders and I dont know wether it is Crew or RMIS appaling services I should blame.
I have ordered clothes from Boden and never had such bad experience. It had been constantly delivered ahead of expectation.
That's the first and last time I will order on the web from Crew
Quintessentially British clothes - Minimum effort, maximum effect.
