Set up by friends, both stay-at-home mums, who wanted to champion home-grown talent, the WowThankYou website is now run solely by Tracey Kifford, who aims to encourage consumers to buy UK designed and made gifts, which have been made rather than mass produced. Tracey's long-term aim for the site is for it to become an online department store, where consumers can source pretty much anything, but where everything has been designed and made on a small scale within the UK.

Despite its short time in business, WowThankYou already has an impressive range of products and small crafts retailers and artisans listed on the site. There is everything from handmade soap and retro patchwork bunting to cake decorations, knitted baby blankets and recycled notebooks. WowThankYou is an excellent source of original gifts, party decorations or home essentials and a great way to support British producers. It is well worth a visit.
