Halycon Days offer a range of beautifully crafted British products, primarily in enamel and porcelain. Their new collections extend to elegant fine bone china pieces, fashionable bangles and scented candles.
THE RISE, FALL AND RISE AGAIN OF ENAMEL
The traditional craft of enamelling on copper, a practice that was popular in the late eighteenth century, had all but disappeared from England by the 1830s. Although enamel items of all shapes and sizes had been made, the favourite has always been the small enamel box. In the century that followed, these enamel boxes continued to be much in demand and many collectors were finding theirs at Halcyon Days, a Mayfair antiques dealer. It was this continued demand that led to the creation of Halcyon Days Enamels in 1970. Enamels have been thriving as collectables ever since.
LUXURY BRITISH GIFTS
The range of English enamel gifts is extensive and includes gifts for him, for her, for children as well as royal collectables, Christmas gifts and beautiful works of art in miniature. But after establishing their reputation for high-quality British craftsmanship, Halycon Days are now extending their brand to incorporate beautiful new designs, such as the Black Kingfisher range, which includes fine-bone china gifts, a prestige hand-painted bowl, beautiful mugs and signature boxes. Fashionable bangles and scented candles are now available and they will soon be extending their home collections, with hand-engraved decanters, whisky tumblers, finely embroidered cashmere throws, and silk scarves.
