whishin
A new bookmarking site that aims to make it easy for online browsers to store and share products and events, whishin helps users compare and contrast items side by side, have a quick easy link back to things they have collated and compile lists with the help of others.
HOW DOES IT WORK
Sign up to whishin, add its bookmarking tool and, from there, you can start creating some lists, adding products and events that you like to each as you go about your daily browsing on the internet. Although much like the standard bookmarking tools that most people have on their computers anyway, whishin takes the bookmarking concept further by allowing those signed up to the site to connect with friends and create lists or even events together.
This could involve anything from making a gift list that you and your sister want to buy your mother for Christmas, organising a hen weekend, or deciding what sofa to buy for your new flat. Alternatively, you can use whishin to ask for advice - whether you should buy that dress or car - and even create lists of presents you would like to receive.
PRIVATE OR PUBLIC
When you click on an item that you would like to add to your whishin account, it is saved along with the image, description, url and (where relevant) price. The default setting on all accounts is private, but you can choose to invite friends to view your list or even make your account public, so that everyone can see your lists and gain inspiration for their own bookmarks and shopping ideas. whishin was recently nominated for an innovation in social media award by Econsultancy and we can see why, for this surely must be the next step in refining our online shopping experience.
