Tipped

Tipped is an online community where people can share their tips on the best and worst places in their area. It was created by former Microsoft marketing and product manager Joel Brazil and launched in the UK in September 2007.

There are around a hundred and fifty British towns and cities on the site. Click on a review and you'll find the contact details of the establishment or service being considered and everything that's been said about it. You'll also find a map and links to what's nearby. The site is nicely designed and very easy to use.

Tipped is perfect for the stereotypical Brit who refuses to complain in public but is willing to spend the rest of the day whinging in private. Or, come to that, the Brit who longs to wriggle free of the shackles of understatement and shout their exaggerated praise and enthusiasm to the world.
