Mysinglefriend is a totally new kind of dating site. For someone to be added to the site a friend has to have described and recommended them as a pretty fabulous single person. This means anyone can take part, single or not. It also means that singles are not alone, they have their friends with them every step of the way. You won't be added without your approval, so it's a safe and fun way to try and find some decent dates.

If you are adding your mate, you can describe not just their physical attributes but personality traits. Are they laid back or fun loving, hardworking or workshy, a club lover or marriage material?

The site is free to use and your profile will be available for 4 months. You won't be able to send messages to other users, but you can choose favourites, and the friend who described you will be able to matchmake by dropping 'potentials' into a folder for you to check out. Free users can sit back and wait to see if someone likes them, or wait until there are more users in their area.

If you pay a joining fee - from £18 for a month to £50 for six months - you can send and receive messages, see who likes you, view your friend's recommendations and block messages. If you are adding your friend, why not treat them to a subscription as a gift.
