Google Reader

Google Reader is, unsurprisingly for a Google invention, a simple yet very useful tool. It delivers all new feeds from your favourite websites straight into your own Google Reader inbox, keeping you up to date and ensuring you don't miss a thing.

ORGANISE & SHARE

The Reader constantly checks for new content, and presents it quickly and reliably. You never have to keep checking blogs and news feeds again, it all comes straight to you. It is easy to recommend sites and share them with your friends and to discover new blogs and sites. Your subscriptions to feeds are simple to organise with your own labels and the feeds can be viewed either in lists, for quick scanning of headlines, or expanded to be read in full.

INFORMATION OVERLOAD?

The only downside, perhaps, is that this system somewhat takes the fun out of web-browsing, and could lead to information overload with its relentless updates. With Google Reader, you get every bit of content, but not the full flavour of the sites.

THE BEST RSS READER

Nevertheless, this is a great way to organise your favoured blogs and news feeds into one tidy place, where you can scan what's new and keep updated. If you are going to use an RSS feed reader, Google Reader is certainly the best there is and the only one for you to consider.
