Urban Outfitters
Urban Outfitters have an edgy site showcasing their range of clothes for men and women. The site has attitude, giving off the vibe that it knows what it's doing, what the latest trends are. There are no dead donkeys here.
The site was launched in July 2006 and has been a huge success. With shops in certain locations here, across Europe and the US, and not on every high street, shopping online here lets everyone have a piece of the action. Divided into three main categories, men, women and house, click onto the front page of that section and you'll get through to the main menu.
Until you get a feel for the range, we suggest you view everything on one page, allowing you to scroll down and have a good look. Clicking on images brings up product details and the opportunity to view the clothes in detail. Email pages of your favourites to friends. In order to buy online, you need to register. Clothes are well priced, with pieces by Ollie & Nic, Paul & Joe Sister and Sonia Rykiel to name just a few.
The Boutique is Urban Outfitters' designer department which is quite hidden, yet it is a very successful part of their business. Here you will find clothes by See by Chloe, Cacharel, Hussein Chalayan and Sara Berman.
The Men's collection is smaller than the women's but with a good selection of hoodies and sweatshirts, jackets, shirts, knitwear and shoes.
House is full of quirky things for your home, whether you want to jazz up your bar accessories, buy some cushions to brighten up your bedroom or perhaps play Racing Grans, wind up grannies on Zimmer frames.
And if that isn't enough, the Music Centre showcases a selecton of music that you'll hear whilst in one of their shops. Urban Outfitters champions music that doesn't get picked up by mainstream radio stations and you can buy some CDs online.
