A extremely fashionable clothing site for women, The Moon and Mars offers a small, but perfectly formed collection of dresses, jumpsuits, tops and bottoms, shoes, bags and jewellery from a select crop of modish designers.

HIGH FASHION

The site itself is simply put together, but with multiple images showing each item clearly. Clothing is divided into categories running down the left hand side of the page in which you can find items such as a cotton pinafore-style dress, punky leather shorts and a suspender tee, all of which channel the grunge look of 90s heyday. While there are pieces that are clearly directed at the young and cutting edge, plenty of items can be found to suit more conservative tastes: designer IVANAhelsinki has a very chic collection of dresses in a variety of attractive prints, as does designer, Built By Wendy.

DARING DESIGN

There are a total of 21 designers whose clothing and accessories can currently be found on The Moon and Mars, including Teamo, isobel and cleo, Grey Ant and Daydream Nation, plus a selection of books and magazines and a blog covering indie film, music and fashion news. An excellent selection of jewellery includes a variety of edgy and more every-day items - Les Bijoux de Sophie's Black Cherry Necklace is a particular favourite.
