Smart Turnout
Smart Turnout sells clothing in regimental, military, school and university colours as well as silk ties, neckties, jumpers, pullovers, belts, boxer shorts and accessories befitting an elegant and finely dressed person of standing.
HISTORY
The company started with a jumper, knitted in the colours of the Scots Guards for a race at Sandown in 1992, as Philip Turner was nearing the end of a ten year career in the British Army. After receiving many a compliment on this jumper, Philip began making more clothes and accessories in regimental colours, and, as word began to spread, the collection began to include Schools, Universities and Clubs. The selection of products is constantly expanding, with a full range of colours available in each category: whether you have schooled at Malborough or Glenalmond; studied at Oxford or Edinburgh; or served in the Gurkas or the Black Watch, the colours are sure to be there. And if they're not, Smart Turnout offers a wholesale and bespoke service, as well as a new range of clothing in some of the Ivy League colours as well as the US Military.
CLASSIC BRITISH MENSWEAR
In addition to attiring the well-groomed attendants of schools, universities and military institutions, Smart Turnout produces a range of classic British menswear, including high quality British-made trousers, luxury Scottish lambswool and cashmere jumpers that are long- lasting, hard-wearing and which feel as great as you presumably look. In addition to this, there are doorstops, china and watchstraps, which can also be made up into your colours of choice, and which make a fine gift for those nostalgic about these periods of their life.
WELL-TURNED OUT
As you would expect from a company named Smart Turnout, the website is equally well-turned out, providing easily searchable categories, clear and appealing photography and useful extras such as a brochure, which you can request to be sent to you and a News section, which keeps you up to date on what's happening at Smart Turnout and provides articles such a The History of the Tie to help you keep them guessing at the next university, regiment or school re-union.
