Petite Affair admirably fills the gap in women's clothes for women 5'3 and under.

The company was launched in 2005 by Debbie Major who was amazed that this market wasn't taken more seriously. She has turned this around and convinced established designers to produce scaled down versions exclusively for Petite Affair. Designers on board include Almost Famous, Turnover and MAC. Debbie also has her own label, petite affair. The collection takes you from the office to every day wear and special occasions.

ONLINE CATALOGUE

View the online catalogue, the Collection, which uses models that are about 5'1 tall. The catalogue is a slick tool whereby you turn the pages of a virtual book. Click on one of the thumbnails and the page turns, giving product details on the facing page. Click on an item and you are then directed to a page with full details. Have fun zooming in on images to check out finer points, such as diamenté detail, special stitching or to get a close up of a pattern. You can also look at alternate views.

TO FIT AND FLATTER

All the clothes are made to a high quality in both fabric and finishing. They are properly proportioned to fit and flatter. Sizes range between 6 to 14 and in the Autumn, Petite Affair will introduce size 16 and gauge demand. They offer different inside leg measurements (28', 29', 30') and can also provide a seamstress service. Ask Debbie should answer any dilemmas or queries that you may have.

Reading between the lines, it seems that Petite Affair are cornering a market and making big strides in finding well designed clothes for petite women. One to watch, we say.
