Aspiga is a lovely site, which sells a huge range of leather sandals and accessories, hand-made in Africa.

HAND-MADE RANGE

If you're going on holiday, or the weather takes a turn for the better in Britain, Aspiga is a first port of call. Its original range of Kikoys, Sandals, Beach Bags, Jewellery and Embroidered Belts is all made in Africa by craftspeople and focuses on individuals rather than factories to create jobs in small local communities. Its range of leather sandals is perhaps the most comprehensive and covers a wide number of styles ranging from One and Two Strap Sandals to beautiful jewelled evening sandals and chic nautical designs. Each design is modelled by a well pedicured foot and pictured in beachy settings from a variety of angles. By popular demand, there is also a men's and children's range of flip flops and some fun swimwear for men.

QUALITY MATERIALS

In terms of quality of material, vibrancy of design and simple chic, you can't really beat a genuine African Kikoy as the ultimate beachwear, though they can also double up as a scarf, picnic rug, or a bright furniture throw. These colourful striped wraps are made from 100% light weight cotton and are a good size. There is also a Kikoy towel option available, with one layer of towelling sewn onto the back of the Kikoy. The Beach Baskets complete the look being made from a woven reed and colourful beaded design unique to the UK. The new range of swimwear for the summer season has some gorgeous styles to complete your look.

ORIGINAL DESIGN

This beaded design filters throughout the range: there are beaded Dog Collars, Baskets, Belts and Jewellery all of which are listed down the left hand side of the page. The style is comfortable and relaxed, with an understated originality of design.
