The Sartorialist

The Sartorialist is a fashion blog which combines the author's love of fashion and photography. Photo-driven, the blog focuses on the style of well-dressed New Yorkers, as well as the chic, elegant and sartorially savvy of Paris and Milan, combining good quality street snaps with interesting interviews and commentary from the man behind the blog, Scott Schuman.

FASHION INSPIRATION

Before starting the blog, Scott worked in sales and marketing as a fashion industry insider for high end women's designer collections like Valentino and distribution companies like Onward Kashiyama. He went on to open his own showroom for young designer collections, later starting a blog as a way of indulging his love of photography. Since its launch in September 05, The Sartorialist has gone from strength to strength, with visitor numbers growing every day and style magazines the world over hailing it as a fashion hotspot for online inspiration. The success of the blog has resulted in commissions from Style.com, GQ and Saks Fifth Avenue for Scott and a spot in Time Magazine's Top 100 Design Influences.

PHOTOS, INTERVIEW, COMMENTARY

The fashion videos are fun to browse with interviews, fashion tips and inspiration from industry people found on the street as well as models and designers from various fashion parties and shows.

STREET STYLE HITS THE BOOKSHOPS

Scott Schuman recently published his first book, not surprisingly called The Sartorialist, a collection of his favourite photographs from the last four years. Published by Penguin, it is available in paperback for £19.99 or in a collector's edition for £100.
