Boing Boing

Boing Boing was one of the first blogs on the scene to truly secure a decent following online. With its mix of serious, funny and bizarre posts on anything and nothing regularly updated by four core bloggers, Boing Boing will keep you entertained and amused all day, providing an excellent and free resource for online procrastination.

Starting as a Zine in 1988, Boing Boing went online in 1995 and became a weblog on the 21st January 2000, soon earning a cult following. The site is American in origin and correspondingly there is a bias towards topics of major interest to an American audience, be it US politics or entertainment culture, but that shouldn't stop you from logging on for one second.

The approach is fresh and interesting and on the whole child friendly, employing an image of a unicorn next to links deemed potentially offensive. A classic example of a modern phenomenon, Boing Boing is a first rate blog well worth your attention.
