Mrs Stephen Fry

Edna Fry is the devoted and long-suffering wife of Stephen. When she isn't run off her feet looking after their six or seven children while her husband indulges his kebab and karaoke habits, she enjoys 18th century poetry, Jeremy Kyle and a nice cup of tea. Her debut book, Mrs Fry's Diary, published by Hodder, is available online and in all good, and some slightly shabby, bookshops. If you've got nothing better to do with your time, you can also find her on Twitter.

NOW THEN

Hello, dears. I'm deeply honoured to have been given the enviable role of guest editor of The Good Web Guide. It's so nice to have the opportunity to direct its visitors toward some of the internet's more highbrow environs, as opposed to the online poker and mud wrestling sites Stephen favours. I do hope you'll enjoy my choices.

MRS FRY'S FAVOURITE SITES

My first site is a must, dears. There really is nothing better than a cup of tea and a sit down (are you listening, Stephen?) so it's awfully nice to see that the lovely, if clearly unoccupied, people at www.NiceCupofTeaandASitDown.com agree.

Spam Recipes - Ah spam, truly the tinned processed meat product of the gods. This is possibly my favourite site. Of course there's nothing on there to compare with my signature dish, Spam Rumpy Pumpy but it's filled to the brim with highly imaginative and, some might even say, edible recipes.

Stephen is terribly fond of his gadgets, from his Betamax video recorder to his Ronco Buttoneer, and www.Kraftwerk.com captures his love of modern technology perfectly.

Wendy Farrow - Wendy is a wonderfully talented Canadian artist I met on Twitter. I'm hoping to hang one of her delightful pictures above our mantelpiece, just as soon as I can persuade Stephen to part with his ‘Dogs' Poker Night' print.

A year ago, I hosted a party in my virtual Twitter bar, Fry's (where everybody knows you're drunk) and invited various very talented musicians to ‘play' their music. Six months later the first live Fry's Gig took place in London to huge acclaim. Since then there have been further gigs in London and New York, raising thousands of pounds for charity, and more are planned. See what you've been missing at www.FrysGig.com

Finally, I asked the good people of Twitter to choose their favourite websites and, typical of the sophisticated and cultured aesthetes who make up my loyal band of followers, the overwhelming winner was this site - www.catsthatlooklikehitler.com

Right, dears - is that all? Only, the kettle's boiling . . .
