Emma Bridgewater

Emma Bridgewater has proudly built her pottery business from a one-woman band into a beacon of light, and hope, in a region of Britain that has seen its manufacturing industry crumble in recent times. The company celebrates its 25th birthday this year and has grand plans for the future.

This quintessential British brand is on the verge of becoming a major British force, rightly seeking to protect hand-made craftsmanship - great British manufacturing skills and the jobs that go with it.

EMMA'S FAVOURITE SITES

The V & A - This is a fantastic site, very useful and well done. It's great for images, news of events coming up and it always has an interesting collection of books in the online shop.

The Potteries Museum has a great site too and if you're in Stoke-on-Trent, it's definitely worth a visit. A retrospective exhibition celebrating our 25th Anniversary starts here on 29th May to 26th September 2010.

The West Village - This is the clothes store in Notting Hill. I don't get to go there very often but I do order online. I've got several of their dresses and I'd be stuck without them.

Sarah Raven - Excellent for colour inspiration in the garden, the sourcing of seeds ...

Radio 4 - I can catch up with the things I've missed and listen to podcasts. It's very me.

Cowtown Coliseum - One for memory lane, reminding me of family roadtrips in America. This rodeo site is old-fashioned and has an outdated feel but is nostalgic all the same.

mydeco - There's always something interesting going on here.
