Home Office: Emily's wish list

The two things you need as a home worker are discipline and a good work space and, in many ways, the two are dependent on one another. I’ve worked from home for three years now and, over time, have found that by creating a comfortable, organised and dedicated work space disciplining myself to actually work at it becomes easy. That’s not to say there’s not room for improvement though – here are just some of the items on my home office wish list.
Orla Kiely Magazine File from Heal's

Heals

Orla Kiely's vibrant prints and patterns are wonderful and this magazine file of hers would be perfect for storing all my magazine and newspaper clippings neatly.

Toast

Toast

It's a bit girly, but a scented candle makes my home office smell like somewhere I want to be and I just love these lightly scented ones from Toast.
#
Roberts Radio from John Lewis

John Lewis

The radio is nearly always on in my home office, but Chris Evans, Classic FM and Gold Greatest Hits would sound even better on a Roberts Radio in dark green, I'm sure.

Bodie and Fou

I've always wanted one of these table lamps and this industrial style version from Bodie and Fou is an absolute winner.

Photo Frames from Dutch by Design

Dutch By Design

These bookends-come-photoframes combine practicality with personality. I'd be filling mine with photos of my new puppy, Scrabble.

Graham and Green

Graham and Green

You can't beat these 1950s-style Dreyfuss 500 phones for adding some Mad Men retro style to your home office.

The day this Dulton Five Drawer Storage Chest enters my home office will be the day my life becomes truly efficient and organised.

Notonthehighstreet.com

This handwoven Rush Wastepaper basket would be quickly filled with all my discarded notes and junk mail, of which I receive far too much.

Newgate Clocks

Newgate Clocks

Newgate Clocks is something of a cult brand. This Tube Station Clock would remind me how grateful I am not to be a London commuter.
