Kidscape

This is the website for Kidscape, the national anti-bullying charity set up in the 1980s by Dr Michelle Elliott, which has done so much to raise the issue of bullying in schools. This site benefits from all this experience, and provides a first port of call for worried parents, children as well as schools and carers. It's an important first point of reference on the subject, while also providing practical support, advice and information.

What Can I Do If I'm Being Bullied found in the Children & Young Person section provides good, realistic information on what to do about it, including who to go to for support, and what to do if support isn't available.

Parents contains a number of sections for adults, describing what bullying might consist of, what symptoms of bullying a child might display, and what behaviour might indicate experience of bullying. There is also an outline of how parents can help, plus details of Other Organisations that can help.
