A-Z Animals is a fantastic online encyclopedia with an easy to use search index of animal pictures, facts and information.

Beautifully designed in the style of a notebook, you get a wealth of detailed information on each animal including: scientific name, animal type, size, weight, speed, life span and lifestyle. The map highlights where the animal can be found and you can click through to other animals in the same family. When you first enter the site Greg the gorilla pops up and asks you if you're scared of any animals, to make sure kids don't have to see scary spiders if they don't like them.
