This colourful, friendly site has Zinger the bee buzzing around recommending books for children of all ages, from babies up to 12 years old. Set up by the Public Library of Charlotte-Mecklenburg County in North Carolina, it's packed with carefully selected recommendations reviewed by librarians in a way that is both appealing and accessible to children, often backed up with children's comments on the book. Reviews are often followed by recommendations for similar books. Categories range from Realistic Fiction to Scary, and the advanced search form offers the chance to narrow your search down by age range, category and number of pages or any combination of the three. All editions of books reviewed are American.
