Wear your pyjamas to help sick kids
If you spy a load of people wandering around in their pyjamas on 25th June this year, they haven't gone mad - they're just trying to raise money for sick children in hospitals and hospices, in an event organised by Wallace & Gromit's Children's Foundation.
HELP SICK KIDS
Wallace & Gromit's Children's Foundation is a children's charity raising funds to improve the quality of life for children in hospitals and hospices throughout the UK. Since launching in 2003, it has helped 48 hospitals and hospices; giving out grants totalling over £1 million. Every day over 26,000 children are treated in hospitals and hospices in the UK. The Foundation funds projects that ensure that whilst in hospice and hospital care, children can still play, socialise and recouperate from treatment in a child-friendly environment. These include arts, music and play therapy programmes, sensory equipment and facilities, respite care, state of the art equipment and parent accommodation.
WRONG TROUSER DAY
Thousands of people across the UK will be taking part in Wrong Trousers Day, donating £1 to a local hospital or hospice, all of which have been marked on a map featured on the site. Register now to receive a free fundraising pack to use on the day, plus a host of pyjama party games and activities available for download on the website.
