Predicting a record breaker as Humble Grape returns to Seedrs.

The independent wine merchant and wine bar concept Humble Grape is launching its second crowdfunding campaign aiming to raise £750k to £1m.

In 2014, the emerging brand raised more than £500,000 on Seedrs. Since then, the company has grown and now employs more than thirty-five staff and imports over 400 wines from eleven different countries. In addition to the two existing sites Humble Grape Battersea and Humble Grape Fleet Street, two further sites will open this year, both which are fully funded. Money raised from this crowdfunding round will go towards opening sites five and six and towards growing the Wine Bank, Wine Club and online sales.

‘This is about offering our customers the opportunity to become further invested in Humble Grape,’ says founder James Dawson. ‘We’ve let customer feedback and input shape our brand so far and no matter how big we grow, I want this to continue. I believe in crowdfunding because it gives customers who believe in a brand the opportunity to become a part of its growth and share in its success. We’re all about bringing our customers closer to the source, connecting them with the winemakers and giving them access to wines that would otherwise be unavailable. I want Humble Grape to belong to the people who believe in what we are doing.’
