It is really important not to ignore these larger, more general portals, because in many cases they will still give you the best basic information of all. It is not possible to mention every conceivable collecting category. Please don't be disappointed if your own particular collecting interest does not appear in this list. The chances are that from a different, closely related topic you may be able to find a link to something of more use.
